Julie Jorgensen began working at the library in 1998 assisting with summer reading before becoming assistant librarian. Julie has been director since 2012 and has her Level I Public Librarian Certification from the Nebraska Library Commission. She is a lifelong resident of Waterloo and lives in the country with her husband Dana where they raised their three children, Käj, Dane and Hanna. Julie enjoys spending time with family and  loves anytime she can spend with her three grandchildren: Rhett, Walker, and Daisy. Julie also enjoys finding new acquisitions for her book collection by rummaging through new and used book store

Linda Oyster has been working at the library for 30+ years. She retired from her position as director in 2012, but returned a year later because she just couldn't stay away. Linda enjoys spending time with her family and her grandchildren. She loves to sing and dance, and can frequently be seen doing so during story time.



Bethany Barelman is one of our Assistant Librarians.  Bethany is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a bachelors in Psychology and of Fort Hays State University with a master's in School Psychology. She has recently started the Public Librarian Certification Program through the Nebraska Library Commission. Bethany's interests include reading and traveling.

Meagan Lasiter has joined our library staff as an Assistant.  She is a lifelong resident of Waterloo with the exception of her time spent seeking her bachelors in business from Chadron State College and Bellevue University. Meagan's interests include movies, cats, tie dying and Eastern Star.
